We hope you had a restful and peaceful Christmas break. Following the announcement last night (4th January 2021) we have set out the following guidance for learners, employers and staff:
- From this week and for the foreseeable future all Great Start learners will be supported remotely
- All apprentices will remain remotely supported
- Learners classed as vulnerable (have an EHCP) will receive 1-2-1 support on a face to face basis as appropriate. We will contact those who this affects
- Spare laptops will be available for those who need them, we will ascertain who needs them, how they can be distributed and the IT set up process
- When face to face sessions start again, all rooms will be well ventilated (especially between lessons and at break times)
- Everyone will have their temperature checked on entry to the building and/or in class
- All tutors will be wearing appropriate PPE for sessions (a Perspex visor)
- There will be breaks every 30 minutes in sessions for all learners to use hand sanitiser
- If a tutor must sit near a learner in a 1-2-1 session, they will not sit face on, but to the side and slightly behind
