Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace

Date: Friday 8th May 2020

Time: 9:30 – 16:30

This workshop covers the principal aspects, elements, procedures and duties of employers and employees. You will also learn about:

  • Consequences of non-compliance with legislation
  • Requirements for training and competence
  • How information can be communicated
  • Processes for carrying out a risk assessment
  • How risk assessments can be used to reduce accidents and ill-health

At the end of the session you will be required to sit an on-line multiple-choice test to achieve the full award.

This award will give your organisation’s emergency first aiders the skills and knowledge needed to provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

Safeguarding (16 – 18 Apprentices*)

*This is a mandatory course for all of our 16 – 18-year-old apprentices.

On completion of this course, you will be awarded an NCFE Level 1 Award in Safeguarding in the Leaning Environment. Everyone has the right to learn, to be safe and to be respected. This workshop will give you the knowledge and understanding to ensure you are being provided with a safe and secure learning environment that promotes your health and wellbeing.

Change Management and Organisational Design

This workshop looks at the impact of change on the structure, design and culture of an organisation. You will be encouraged to apply organisational design models to describe your own workplace and consider the impact of change at a structural, cultural and functional level. It will arm those in leadership roles with the skills to support and nurture others through organisational change.

The course will also help employees going through change to understand the impact at an individual level with a view to handling and managing their workload through the change management process.
