National Apprenticeship Week 2022

It’s National Apprenticeship Week! In 2022, the annual event is celebrating 15 years of bringing apprentice stories and successes to the conversation.

This year the event, running 7th – 13th February, is focusing on ‘Building the Future’. As the central government are focusing on building back better, and their plans for jobs, we’re very aware that apprenticeships will be a large part of that.

Not only are apprenticeships a very valid and solid option for school leavers and young people looking to retrain, but they’re also a great way for employers to upskill and invest in their staff. There’s no denying it has been a challenging few years for many industries, and unfortunately the jobs that have been affected the most have been those typically undertaken by young people, e.g. hospitality and leisure.

During National Apprenticeship Week, there will be lots of events happening locally and nationally. These are all designed to help you understand more about apprenticeships including the application process, finding an employer, pay, training and everything in between.
