This course is designed to introduce you to working in professional management in business. You will gain the core skills needed to demonstrate an understanding of team leading and help kickstart your career.

The course will be delivered Mon – Wed 9.30am – 12.00pm, and 1.00pm – 4.00pm over two weeks and will cover:
Understanding the Role of the Team Leader
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a team leader
- Understand leadership styles in an organisation
- Understand techniques used to manage team workloads
- Understand the impact of change management within a team
Principles of Developing Team Performance
- Understand team dynamics
- Understand how to manage team performance
- Understand methods to review team performance
- Understand how to provide training and development activities for team members
Workshops will be delivered remotely using Google Classroom and will be interactive with group discussion and the use of workbooks to capture knowledge.
This course is designed to allow you to develop a range of ICT skills that will be useful when you’re applying for roles across a range of sectors. Having key ICT skills will give you the confidence to expand your job search and kickstart your career.

The programme will be delivered one day a week over five weeks with the morning session (9.30am – 12.30pm) being taught and the afternoon session (2.00pm – 4.00pm) focused on building the portfolio of evidence. The course will cover:
Using devices and handling information
- What is meant by hardware, software, operating systems and applications
- Navigating online content
- Opening, reading and saving information
- Recognising technical problems
Creating and editing
- Using suitable applications to enter, edit and format information
- Capturing and saving images, sound and video
Communication
- Able to create, edit and use contacts
- Understand the ‘digital footprint’ and the implications of this
Transacting
- How to complete and submit a form as part of an online transaction
- Buy and item or service online
Being safe and responsible online
- Where personal information may be stored by devices and online activity
- Online risks and threats
- Configuring and using safe ways to access devices and online services

- How to recognise and minimise the effects of physical stresses of being online
Workshops will be delivered remotely using Google Classroom and you will work towards completing a portfolio of evidence that will demonstrate your knowledge and skills.
