Our great Summer Stadium Programme is the perfect introduction to a range of practical careers

Want to get an Apprenticeship in a practical area?
Get training in forklift truck driving?
Get qualifications in First Aid and Health & Safety?
Then the Olympic Summer Programme is for you. It’s a 10 week course and you attend for 2 half days a week. WBTC will provide you with:
  • £10 weekly allowance
  • Travel expenses
  • £100 Clothing Allowance
 Following your apprenticeship application we will be aiming to introduce you to local employers during this course to give you the best chance of starting an Apprenticeship in September 2012.
Also, you’ll get to see athletics at the Olympic Stadium in September.
Who is it for?
We only have 12 places on this programme so you should be
  • Aged 16-18
  • Interested in a practical apprenticeship
  • Not doing any other courses or be offered any other courses
How do you join?
The course starts week commencing 9thJuly with enrolment on 2ndJuly. We will offer you a start on the programme if you are definitely interested and then work with you to get you an Apprenticeship
Anything else?
If you are under 18 then its important that whoever is at home such as a parent or guardian knows that you are enrolling on this programme.
So the programme is for you if you would like:
  1. A practical apprenticeship e.g. motor mechanics, engineering, construction etc
  2. Qualifications that will help you get a job
  3. Training in driving a fork lift truck that can lead to a license
  4. Visit the Olympics
  5. Weekly allowance
