King Alfred’s Community & Sports College of Wantage
Congratulations to King Alfred’s Community & Sports College who have been awarded the West Berkshire Training Consortium ‘Certificate of Commendation’ for 2010. The certificate recognises employers who are committed to staff training and development and the Certificate of Commendation is the third-highest accolade that an employer can receive in the Investment in Training Awards
Diane Jones of King Alfred’s Community & Sports College said “It is a privilege to receive this award from another education and training provider like West Berkshire Training Consortium. WBTC have helped to support our rigorous training and development culture through their range of Apprenticeships & NVQs. Usually we would find it difficult to finance the cost of so many staff undertaking these qualifications but WBTC funded their learning and provided all the support that we needed. As a consequence we have been able to invest in our people and offer them the chance to learn new skills and new opportunities. We have such a rewarding partnership with WBTC and we have benefitted as an employer from this relationship.”
Adam Tickel the Business Development Manager at WBTC said “King Alfred’s Community & Sports College have embraced Apprenticeships with gusto and they set a great example to other employers. I am always impressed by their passion for learning and development and their culture towards staff opportunity is second to none. It is a pleasure to present them with this award.”
