Chris Cox

“I am learning something new every day on Work Experience,” WBTC learner Chris Cox tells us. “As well as learning about all different aspects of the trade, it is teaching me the importance of getting into a routine and working as a member of a team. I have picked it up easily and am really enjoying it; I feel really valued here. Not only has my confidence in the workplace increased, but I have lots of new skills and experience to put on my CV.”

Greenham Warehouse Manager Dave Miles is very pleased with Chris’s work; “He is hardworking, resourceful and motivated. We treat the work experience candidates exactly the same as everyone else here, they have to work full days with the same lunch breaks, and Chris has fitted in really well. He is a great addition to the team.”

Chris also attends classes at WBTC, gaining qualifications in Maths, English, Customer Service, Health & Safety and First Aid. “I have learnt loads! It had made a real difference to me. I especially enjoyed meeting the Newbury MP Richard Benyon recently, he presented me with a good attendance award and we got our picture in the local paper!”
