Blades Hair Salon

Congratulations to Blades Hair Salon who have been awarded the West Berkshire Training Consortium ‘Certificate of Commendation’ for 2010. The certificate recognises employers who are committed to staff training and development and the Certificate of Commendation is the third-highest accolade that an employer can receive in the Investment in Training Awards

Heidi Prout the owner of Blades Hair Salon said “Winning this award from West Berkshire Training Consortium is a pleasure for me and my colleagues because it shows just how much we value staff training. I have been in the hairdressing industry for many years and I did an Apprenticeship so I know the value it brings. At Blades Hair Salon we train our Apprentices in partnership with WBTC and it is so helpful to have them supporting us as we strive for success. Apprenticeships are affordable for a small business like mine and they are relevant too because my young staff learn the skills that lead to good standards of hairdressing and customer service. I think that all employers should have Apprentices with WBTC.”

Adam Tickel the Business Development Manager at WBTC said “Heidi has always been a champion of Apprentices and she is very supportive to her young staff. This award is completely deserved and I would like to thank Blades Hair Salon for their contribution to Apprenticeships”.
