Congratulations to BGM Plumbing who have been awarded the West Berkshire Training Consortium ‘Certificate of Commendation’ for 2010. The certificate recognises employers who are committed to staff training and development and the Certificate of Commendation is the third-highest accolade that an employer can receive in the Investment in Training Awards

Barry Eldred the owner of BGM Heating & Plumbing said “Apprenticeships are ideal for a practical trade and for a business like mine. There is so much for a new young person to learn in the trade and it is important that they develop high level skills and qualifications. Operating Apprenticeships with WBTC is easy for me as a small business owner because they provide funding and lots of support. I see them as a partner who is interested in my business and who help me be more successful by doing a lot of work for me. For example they recruited my Apprentice for free and were very helpful in setting up the day-release programme. Winning this award is a proud achievement for me and my business as it recognises the investment I have made in training.”
